Bio: Laurel is a leader in the arts, culture, and heritage sector and a versatile senior manager with over 25 years in not-for-profit, business, and government sectors. Laurel collaborates with organizations in developing effective strategies to embrace positive change. She successfully delivered a new community museum and major fundraising campaign, shaping its transition business plan and redevelopment project, and led the implementation of its new operations and staffing model during its first two years of operation. She has contributed her expertise in strategic and financial analysis and organizational development to international museum and science centre projects, working with recognized leaders in the field.

Things you want to see changed in our sector: I am excited to see the development of advocacy plans across our sectors. I am passionate about advancing the principles of the UN Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, particularly in museums.
