Bio: Toyin Oladele is a multi-disciplinary artist and arts manager originally from Nigeria. She is a motivated and results-focused professional with almost 2 decades of experience in the arts, she has demonstrated excellence in organizational development, strategic planning, program development, and implementation and is a passionate equity & diversity advocate. Toyin has overseen the development, delivery, and evaluation of a range of programs, projects, and partnerships focused on elevating cultural landscapes and supporting arts and culture professionals from all backgrounds. Her professional strengths are firmly rooted in her ability to invigorate community spaces with arts and culture, infusing inclusivity and vibrancy into her community, through a collaborative strategic approach.

Toyin is the founder and Executive Director of the Immigrant Council for Arts Innovations, project manager and consultant for the City of Calgary Northeast Public Art Initiative and has been involved in different projects with both government and private organizations across Canada including the City of Calgary, Tourism Calgary, Calgary Arts Development, Calgary’s Chinook Blast Winter Festival, Bird Creatives, Ethnik Festivals for Arts, Rozsa Foundation etc. 

She volunteers on the board of CARFAC Alberta, Calgary Young People's Theatre, Contemporary Calgary, Chromatic Theatre and Global fest.

Her educational journey includes her current pursuit of an Executive MBA at Queen's University, alongside notable certificates from the Rozsa Foundation and the University of Calgary. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in French Language and literature, with minors in Performing Arts and English Literature, from the University of Ilorin in Nigeria.

Amongst other notable recognitions, Toyin has been recognized by the Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, The City of Calgary, named Avenue Calgary Top 40 under 40 in 2023, Ethnik Festival Star Person of the Year 2023, Local Women and Global Changemakers Award by Calgary Immigrant Women Association in 2022 , Canada’s Top 100 Black Women to watch by CIBWE in 2022, Top 25 EDIA Persons of the year by Canadian Multicultural Group in 2021 etc
